My Dad had his 90th birthday on April 27th and on the 28th the family had an open house for him. Two hundred and forty-seven people signed the guest book. I am so proud of him and happy to be his daughter. It was such a wonderful day and the outpouring of love and affection from family and friends I am sure touched his heart like he has touched so many people in his lifetime.

I made this card for the Ink-Stains Challenge this week (a card with no layers). I must say it was different not using layers. I did add stickles after I scanned it for Ink-Stains, which I think added to it.

I made this card for the weekly challenge on Ink-Stains. I am
thinking I am going to have to invest in a new scanner. There seems
to be too much light coming through and it is making a bit of
noise that doesn't sound right. I love doing the sketch cards.
The second layer is created from the Cuttlebug - I thought it
went well with the Basic Grey paper I used and then blended the
pear to pick up the colors of both.

What a lovely weekend it has been. Not so much weatherwise but I have
enjoyed a few days off. I got my Cuttlebug Thurs. and have played with
it a bit. The card below is for a swap I am in "I am woman". Need to put
on the finishing touches and get them in the mail Monday.
